About this course:
This course covers the essentials of plant growth, from understanding their physiology to mastering the key steps that keep them healthy and thriving. You’ll explore various hydroponic systems (open and closed) and learn how to set up your own system using the right equipment. The course also delves into important topics like nutrient management, caring for seedlings, and planting with the Drip to Waste system. Whether you’re looking to grow your own food or explore sustainable farming methods, this course provides a straightforward introduction to the world of hydroponics.

- The parts of a plant and essential growth procedures
- Plant physiology
- Different types of hydroponic systems (Open & Closed)
- Identifying the equipment required for hydroponic systems
- Managing nutrient solutions
- Seedling and plant management
- Planting with the Drip to Waste system
- Fertigation
Educational Requirements
- No prior experience or certifications are required
Device Requirements
- A computer or laptop with a stable internet connection
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 or higher
- The following programmes must be installed:
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Version 2010 or higher)
- Zoom (accessible via app or browser) for virtual learning sessions
Documentation Requirements
- One valid form of identification (National Identification Card, Driver’s Permit, Passport or Birth Certification)
- A copy of your Birth Certificate will only be accepted if no other form of ID is available

- Minimum age: 16 years

- A 60% upfront payment of the course fee is required to activate your payment plan

- Deadlines
- The signed payment plan contract and 60% initial payment must be submitted at least 4 days before the course start date to secure your enrolment
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive ONE of the following e-certifications:
Graded Certificate of Achievement
Awarded to participants who have met all course requirements and assessment criteria
Certificate of Participation
Awarded to participants who have attended the course but did not meet the assessment criteria
Optional Hard Copy Certificate:
