The MIC-IT Centre for Renewable Energy & Associated Technologies (CREATe) offers essential education and professional development as renewable technology progresses. It serves as a strategic tool to increase the nation’s energy output and decrease its carbon footprint by offering Training and Renewable Services.
The Centre is staffed by experienced master craftsmen and technicians who have received German training in the field of Solar Photovoltaics. It holds Renewable Energy equipment such as Solar Panels, Wind Turbines, Solar Water Heaters, Charge Controllers, Inverters, Batteries, etc. to deliver real-world training and quality services.
As Trinidad & Tobago looks to the future, CREATe strives to create a supply of ‘green-collar’ jobs that drive the transformation of the nation’s energy production and carbon footprint reduction under the Paris Agreement.
In November 2023, MIC-IT became a registered and approved Photovoltaic Associate Exam Provider with the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). This membership enables MIC-IT to qualify candidates to take the NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate Exam through a computer-based testing vendor and is now featured in the NABCEP Course Catalogue.
