The Technical Vocational Teacher/Instructor Training and Development (TVITT) Diploma is designed to promote the development of technical professionals into educational leaders and teachers. Developed with technical vocational teachers in mind, the TVITT programme is built to reflect the unique demands of skill training. Students will complete 15 core courses which have been tailored to build capacity in pedagogy and andragogy for the 21st Century. Through exploration of evidence-based teaching strategies and methods using practical applications and a collaborative learning environment, students will be able to adopt the skills and tools which are integral to being a successful technical vocational teacher.
The Diploma is a value-added programme that is intended to allow technical teachers to transform and evolve their practice to better serve their institutions and their students in the classroom and workshops.
Course Duration: This Diploma programme comprises of three (3) trimesters and each trimester will run for 15 weeks.

The aim of the Train-the-Trainer I Programme is designed to provide trainers with the andragogical skills needed to effectively deliver training in the 21st century. The objective of the programme is to ensure that personnel who are responsible for training, are well-equipped to undertake the task of a professional trainer in a teaching and learning environment. The modules provided in the programme will assist in a better understanding of the training and learning process to build the competencies of the trainer.

The Train-the-Trainer Level II Programme was designed to provide participants with the advanced andragogical skills needed to effectively deliver appropriate training for trainees in the 21st century. This programme enables participants to develop individual/group training programmes specific to the needs of the individual trainer/group. It is structured to allow participants to gain an understanding of adult training and learning principles and to deliver courses that engage adult learners. In addition, it emphasizes the importance of continued research and planning to improve the delivery and implementation of training.
